The Boonville R-1 School Board has approved the designation of the Floriculture class as a Fine Arts credit for graduation. Ms. Deanna Thies and Ms. Carri Risner developed and gave a presentation to the school board highlighting the curriculum and its relevance to the fine arts graduation requirement.
Development of this credit has been years in the making, and this means a student enrolled in agricultural education courses can now receive Practical Arts credit, Science credit, Personal Finance credit, Communication Arts credit, and Fine Arts credit.
